LSC operates three fully-staffed laboratories, enabling us to perform nearly all required testing to validate the quality of the raw materials we receive and that specifications are being met in the production process for the wide array of products that we manufacture.
Additionally, our laboratories often play an active role in product development. Having this resource in house helps us save time and reduce cost when we are working with a customer to refine or modify a product formulation.
To ensure that our laboratory methods and practices are working correctly, we regularly audit them to ensure that ISO systems are being followed and, for additional insurance, we participate in an American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Round Robin program, where ASTM sends a set of samples to participating laboratories. These test results are reported back to ASTM and they then contact any laboratory whose results do not fall within acceptable limits.
